I’m over the moon about the fact that my poem I didn’t get to say goodbye, I barely said hello was the Editors’ Second Prize choice for the 2021/22 Magma Poetry Competition. I wrote this poem shortly after a miscarriage last year and never dreamed I’d see it in Magma with a two-month-old wriggling about in my arms. Love to all who have lost.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, my poem Anxiety sneaks in through the window one October also appears in the same issue! It’s always been an ambition of mine to have work appear in Magma, so two have two poems in Magma 83: Isolation really does mean the world.
