I’m over the moon about the fact that my poem I didn’t get to say goodbye, I barely said hello was the Editors’ Second Prize choice for the 2021/22 Magma Poetry Competition. I wrote this poem shortly after a miscarriage last year and never dreamed I’d see it in Magma with a two-month-old wriggling about in my arms. Love to all who have lost.
